Negative Prompts for Cleaner AI Rap Video
A positive prompt says what you want; the negative block says what you refuse to watch. Face swaps, merged identities, karaoke text burned into the frame, a logo that appeared from nowhere — every one of these is cheaper to prevent than to fix. This page is the full negative library for AI rap video renders, organized by what each category protects, plus exactly where the block goes in different tools.
How to use negatives (three rules)
- Use the dedicated field when there is one. Most image-to-video tools have a negative prompt input separate from the main prompt. Put the block there. When there isn't one, append it to the main prompt as its own line:
Avoid: ...terms.... - Comma-separated terms, no sentences. Negatives are a blocklist, not prose. "Please do not make the faces blurry" wastes tokens; "blurry faces" bites.
- Match negatives to the failure you actually saw. Start with the master block below; add a term only when a render shows that failure. A 40-term blocklist dilutes the terms doing real work.
The category library
Identity
The face failures that end a duo clip.
identity swap, faces changing sides, merged faces, faces fusing, third person appearing, clone afterimage, mirrored kaleidoscope effect, outfit colors swapping between sides
Anatomy
Hands, limbs, and the high-five class of bugs.
extra limbs, extra arms, extra fingers, deformed hands, fused legs, distorted anatomy
Image quality
The renders that look broken before anything else is judged.
blurry faces, motion smear, compression artifacts, flicker, frame jitter, low resolution, oversharpened skin
Set & props
The stage morphing or inventing branded set dressing.
on-screen lyrics or captions, karaoke text, watermarks, brand logos, signage, text in scene, crowd, confetti, stage change, scene changes
Camera
Instability that smears the lip-sync you worked for.
camera shake, rapid cuts, zoom bursts, spinning camera, Dutch angle, fisheye distortion
Safety & likeness
The compliance layer, enforced at the prompt level.
celebrity lookalike, real artist likeness, NSFW, weapons, alcohol
Copy-ready master negative block
Avoid: identity swap, faces changing sides, merged faces, faces fusing, third person appearing, extra limbs, deformed hands, blurry faces, motion smear, frame flicker, on-screen lyrics or karaoke text, watermarks, brand logos, text in scene, camera shake, rapid cuts, scene changes, celebrity lookalike, NSFW Template focus: Negative Prompts for Cleaner AI Rap Video (master block — paste into the negative field or append after "Avoid:").
This is the same block shipped in every template page's negative section — the per-template blocks are this list with two or three scenario-specific terms swapped in (the pet template adds paw terms; the vertical template adds letterboxing terms).
What each category actually prevents
Identity terms are the expensive ones: a face swap can't be cropped or captioned away, only re-rendered. Anatomy terms matter most in choreographed templates (the high-five, the pet paws). Quality terms are insurance — they cost nothing and quietly raise the floor. Set terms mostly defend against the model inventing branded set dressing on a booth stage. Camera terms trade away flair for stability; on first renders, keep them all. The safety terms are the prompt-level enforcement of this site's compliance rules — no celebrity likenesses, no unsafe content.
Ordering and length
Lead with the terms protecting your current weakness: identity terms first for duo renders, letterboxing terms first for vertical, paw terms first for pets. Most models weight early terms slightly more, and past the ~30-term mark returns diminish — trim terms for failures you've never actually hit.
Common failure modes
- Negatives seem ignored → the block went into the main prompt of a tool that has a real negative field; move it.
- Render got worse after adding negatives → too many terms or contradictory ones (e.g. blocking "motion" while asking for "energetic action"); cut the block back to the master list.
- A failure keeps recurring → negatives reduce probability, they don't guarantee. Pair the block with the structural fixes in the troubleshooting guide.
FAQ
Do all video models support negative prompts?
No — support varies by tool and pipeline stage. Where a dedicated field is missing, the "Avoid:" line still measurably helps in most prompt-following models, but treat it as mitigation, not enforcement.
Should negatives describe what I DO want, inverted?
No. "Not blurry" is weaker than "blurry faces" as a blocklist term. Keep positives in the main prompt and negatives as pure refusal terms.
